The Village at Allen

We took Will to the Village at Allen on Saturday to see the reindeer and play in the little village. We took him last year, but this year he was much more into it. He had fun running around the little village and looking at the huge Christmas tree they have set up. He also liked the reindeer a lot more this year. I am pretty sure he called Donner a "dog", just like he does with most 4-legged animals he sees.

Meet Charlie

Yesterday my brother John and his wife Kara adopted a precious golden retriever from the SPCA. He is about 6 months old and his name is Charlie. We went over to their place to meet him and he is adorable. He is very good natured and is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. He even let Will give him hugs and pets. John and Kara have another dog, Finn, so now Finn has a new buddy! I know he is super excited! :) Will had a great time playing with Finn and Charlie.

Colorado

Last Thursday we flew to Colorado to stay with my parents and ski. Well, Mike skied with some friends of ours in Breckenridge, but Will and I did not ski. We had a great trip! Will did awesome on the plane and was a very good traveler. Friday night Mike and I met our friends Rusty and Ashley in Boulder for dinner, then Saturday we all drove to Breckenridge to shop and Mike skied. I also got to meet up with my good friend Nataly in Breckenridge and Kara, another friend from college. It was fun to see them and I am glad they got to meet Will. Will had a blast at my parents house, my mom got him a bunch of toys and he was loving it! He also liked the snow and was constantly begging us to take him outside. Colorado was awesome and I can't wait to go back in February, I know Will is excited to go back too. Here are a ton of pictures, and they are all out of order, please forgive me!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thursday morning we loaded up the car and drove up to Arkansas to be with my family for Thanksgiving. My grandfather (Mom's dad) passed away on Monday and the funeral was Friday morning. I miss my Papa so so so much and Thanksgiving was very hard without him, but we are thankful for the great times we had with him. I am very thankful that he got to spend time with Will, I will hold those memories close to my heart.

Will had a good time in Arkansas and had fun playing with all of his relatives. We stayed at my grandma's house and he loved exploring in the backyard and picking up leaves. I wish I would have taken more pictures while we were there. Will got to spend time with both of his great-grandmothers....and all my aunts and uncles on both sides of the family. I am hoping we can go back up to Arkansas to see everyone again around Christmas.

Decorating Weekend

I am very happy that we are finished decorating for Christmas and Will has not pulled the tree down yet. We got everything out over the weekend and Will helped a lot. :) We ended up getting a smaller tree to use for the next few years. The one we usually put out is at least 10 feet tall and 6 feet in diameter at the base. It is just way too huge for this year, I am afraid if Will pulled it over it could do some major damage on him. The smaller one is great and much safer....and we put the gate up around it so Will can't pull it over on top of him. He doesn't seem very interested in the tree....so that is good. I put a 4 ft. tree in his room and he hasn't touched it either, I am very proud of him. Here are some pictures from our busy weekend of decorating and getting ready for Christmas!

A Weekend Away

This past weekend Mike was in the wedding of our good friends Brian and Alexis. We headed down to Houston early Friday morning and spent the weekend shopping and enjoying all the wedding festivities. We had a great time, but we were very sad to leave Will behind in Dallas. Will stayed with Gran and Grandad (Mike's parents) all weekend and he had a blast. I bet he didn't even notice we were gone. Here are some pictures that Mike's mom sent me from their weekend with Will. They took such good care of him, Will is a lucky little guy!

Lovebirds

Last week Reagan and her daughter Reichly came over to play. Will and Reichly are so cute together, they were hugging and playing together so well. Reichly got into Will's car with him and put her arm around him. SO precious!! They love each other and it is hilarious to watch them interact.

Halloween Weekend

We had a great Halloween weekend. On Friday we took Will over to Mike's Dad's law firm for a little Halloween spook house they had set up for the kids. Will wasn't interested in the candy, but he loved walking up and down the big halls and he thought Grandad's office was pretty cool.
We were supposed to go to a Halloween festival at Glen Eagles Country Club that night, but Will was pretty worn out. We'll just go next year instead.
On Saturday we went over to the Haywards' house for a get together with the entire family. It was really fun and Will got to hang out with his new cousins. They are all so cute, I can't wait to watch them play together and become great friends.
Saturday night Will got dressed up and we walked around the neighborhood for a while, then we passed out candy to all the kiddos. Our friend Liz came by to see Will in his costume, and she brought him some animal crackers and cookies!
Today we actually did some shopping and got a new sofa and love seat for our great room. I cannot wait for it to get here!!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
